Welcome to Glades Middle School an A+ school for 4 years running .

 VISION STATEMENT

Glades Middle School’s vision statement encompasses a comprehensive and inclusive learning environment developed through interdisciplinary planning, that will engage the learning styles of all students by infusing technology throughout the curriculum.

MISSION STATEMENT

Glades Middle School’s mission statement is to empower students with critical thinking skills so that they are prepared for lifelong learning and stresses the values of creativity, innovation, and experimentation. Thus, providing the students with the tools needed to succeed in a highly technological world and become productive members of society.

 

Next time you see Mr. Siles be sure to tell him Thanks for the cool Everglades mural on our school's front wall. That is right folks, we have an artist extraordinaire as our assistant principal, Mr. Siles is the solo artist who on his own time came out during the summer to paint that great mural.

Am I a Sage or Mage?

     I was in first grade when I saw myself in a class room as a teacher.  I use to go to bed and think of what a perfect class room would be like.  I would lay in my bed picturing a chalk board with the entire's week  worth of work and a teacher who gave the student the freedom to do what assignments they wanted as long as they agreed to complete all the assignments in that week.
     Of course, I have since learned that not every student could function in a classroom like that, nor would the established educational system allow for that much freedom in the classroom.  
     But what I do believe is that for any education to be successful the student MUST be actively involved.
